Bartender’s GuideBranching out from Noir, I settled into the world of ‘how-to’ books…among which were those famous bartender guides for mixing cocktails of the ’20s and after.  I particularly liked the illustrations and graphics of the ingredients and the ‘useful hints’ that were ever present.  Headings like ‘Summer Selection’ and the accompanying paraphernalia of jiggers, swizzle sticks and miniature umbrellas.  The smell of bitters and vermouth.
